Dr. "Chu" Chinenye Ofodile
Founder and Executive Director
“Chu” Chinenye Ofodile is the Founder and Executive Director of Masterminds Academy, an innovative educational institution committed to fostering academic excellence, character development, and lifelong learning. With a strong background in education, over fifteen years of service in higher education, and leadership, Dr. Ofodile established Masterminds Academy to bridge the gap between traditional instruction and individualized learning, transforming minds, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential inside and outside the classroom.

Under his leadership, Masterminds Academy has grown into a trusted center for academic enrichment by offering comprehensive tutoring programs, standardized test preparation, after-school learning, and summer enrichment initiatives. Dr. Ofodile’s educational philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students are empowered to think critically, set goals, and pursue excellence with confidence.
His vision for Masterminds Academy is rooted in the belief that education extends beyond the classroom. By integrating mentorship, skill-building, and community engagement, he strives to cultivate well-rounded learners who are prepared to excel academically and contribute positively to society.
Dr. Ofodile is recognized for his commitment to educational innovation, student success, and organizational growth. Through his guidance, Masterminds Academy continues to set a high standard for quality education and remains dedicated to inspiring the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and achievers.
Dr. Ofodile is a Tenured Professor of Mathematics at Albany State University, in Albany, Ga. In addition, he serves as the Chair for the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science & Physics. He acquired his Bachelor’s Degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. in the field of Mathematics. He attained his Doctoral degree from Howard University, where he also received his Master Degree in Mathematics. His research “The Enumeration of Dumont Permutations With Few Occurrences of Three and Four Letter Patterns” is in the area of Combinatorics. As a Gates Millennium Scholar and a Sloan Scholar, he worked in various fields of study, where he and a Computer Scientist published a paper “Automating the Assignment of the Library of Congress Number” in 2009. In addition, he recently published “Redesigning College Algebra for Success: An Analysis of Student Performance” and “Immuno-kinetics of immunotherapy: dosing with DCs.” In 2016, he was awarded Albany State University “Teacher of the Year.” Dr. Ofodile loves to engage students in the classroom with collaborative learning techniques including research and presentations.
